Maib named Bank of the Year for the fourth straight year by the Banker

 

For the fourth consecutive year maib has been awarded "Bank of the Year" in Moldova title by the prestigious international publication The Banker.

Maib's financial performance, innovations, adaptability to the changing economic environment, strategic relationships with customers, advances in digitalisation and the quality of customer experience were among the criteria that made the difference in the award decision

Maib’s performance in 2022

The first nine months of 2022 were marked by very strong financial performance by maib. During this period, net profit rose by 66% year-over-year to MDL 837million. The bank also recorded a strong increase in ROE, which reached 19.1% (9M 2022), 6 percent rise year-on-year. As of 30 September 2022, maib remained well capitalized maintaining a Capital Adequacy Ratio of 22%, up by 2% year-over-year. Maib cost to income ratio was 46% during the period, 9% below the same period last year..

  • Market share of total assets 32.5% ( +1.4% year-over-year)
  • Market share of total loans  36.3% (+2.1% year-over-year)
  • Market share of total deposits 32.5% (+0.8% year-over-year)
